Yes that is right. The Chance Project is undergoing changes. We are trying to update our site, to best fit your needs. Keep checking our site to stay tuned!

Hello Everyone,

The garage sale was a huge success. Although the weather was against us, there was a great turn out. We collected $200 as well as many donations. We have decided to have another garage sale next weekend!

I will keep everyone posted on our progress.

Thanks,

Christian Vander Voet

P.S. Keep alert, a huge event may just be on the way!!

The Chance Project is having a huge garage sale! On September 21, 7:00 - 12:00, come and buy lots of furniture, accessories, video games, board games, sheet music, paintings, and much much more.

In this event half of the proceeds will be put towards building a school in Sierra Leone! The other half will put towards a trip for our founder, Christian Vander Voet, to go to Ecuador and help a remote community in the rainforest.

So come along to 668 Auger Terrace, Milton, Ontario, Canada and enjoy a great event!

P.S. There may even be a bake sale at the garage sale...

Hello,

I am very sorry that I could not maintain my promise to blog every week, I am finding it hard to find any free time recently due to school, sports, and volunteering.

But, I am very glad to report that we raised over 1000 cans of food for the hungry this year! I know this is short of our goal which is a bit disappointing, but we beat our last fundraiser by 650 cans.

I am so happy that the fundraiser went well. I would like to thank all the volunteers that made this fundraiser possible:

Julian Vander Voet
Josh Blazina
Tanner Wickware
Jenna Wilcox
Logan Garrick
Brenna McArthur
Victoria Grier
Matthew Blazina
Ashley Vander Velden
Lauren Johnston
Jacob Wickware
Julia Maree
Catiyana Adam

I want all of you to know that without you, this wouldn't have been possible. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone,

Today was our first official day of collecting cans! My brother and I did our first route, handing out flyers and talking to people about the project. Of course the flyers wouldn't have been created if it weren't for the help of Josh and Matthew Blazina. I am extremely excited that we have kicked off a great fundraiser.

Our first donation came in 20 minutes after we had done our route. It was so inspiring seeing a mother and her son walking up our front porch with a big box of food.

Remember to donate! Just drop off the food at 668 Auger Terrace, there is a big box to put everything in, so you won't miss it.

Thank you to all the donors,

"Take the chance, to make a chance."

Hey everybody,

I am so glad to announce that The Chance Project is going to be having its second We Scare Hunger food drive.

We are working hard to prepare for a massive food drive. Last time we raised over 300 cans of food. Which is fantastic. But, this year our goal is to collect over 5 000 cans of food for the local food bank in Milton.

If you live in Milton and you want to help us please email us at [email protected]. We really need your help.

I will be posting every week or so, to keep you updated on our progress. Make sure to like my posts on facebook and comment on my posts right here on the website.

Thank you to everyone who supports The Chance Project,

"Take the chance, to make a chance."

Hey everybody,

This is Christian again.

Last Friday I went to We Day along with three other deserving members from The Chance Project. We are all truly inspired by the words and stories that the speakers shared. I wish that everyone got to experience We Day like I did, so I would like to encourage you to watch the videos that we have posted on the website. And, if you can, visit the Me to We or Free The Children websites. They are really remarkable and have some great ways you can make a difference in your community.

I hope that these things inspire you to make a difference in your community. Remember that if you need any help, you can always email us at [email protected].

Hello Everyone,

We need some suggestions for updates on our site. If you could post a comment or email us at [email protected] it would be greatly appreciated.

Also we have finally got a twitter account and a Chance Project page on facebook going. And we hope everyone follows us. They are great for getting updates and staying connected.

On another note we have passed the halfway mark! Reaching about $5 300. This is awesome news for our ears because it means we are that much closer to reaching our goal.

Thank you for reading,

"Take the chance, to make a chance"

Christian Vander Voet.

Hello everybody,

This is Christian Vander Voet, doing the first blog entry of the website. I am very excited to tell you all that The Chance Project is finally hitting off! We have raised $600 through family members and companies; I’d like to thank Daniel Petru at “Stairs Master”, as well as “Hawthorne Village Chiropractic” as our first two company donors.

We have also raised $130 through the Chance Bracelets. This is especially great because they are starting to sell faster and soon the numbers will be shooting up!

This is a great cause and I really appreciate all those people who have taken interest and e-mailed me for information on how to donate.

A few people have asked who they should write cheques to, so I wanted to remind you all that cheques should be payable to “Free the Children”, not The Chance Project.

Thank you so much for your help!

“Take the chance, to make a chance.”
